Hearing on Executive Compensation in House Financial Services Committee

I want to take the headline grab of Joseph Stiglitz testifying before Congress today and use this to point to some real executive compensation and corporate government reform proposals that need to get much more promotion and attention.

In May 2008, there was a hearing on corporate governance and executive incentives, covered in this post, Corporate Citizen - An Oxymoron. Contained within are a host of recommendations, a primary one being to align corporate governance with the national interest. It will take much more than restructuring executive compensation to realign corporations behavior for the U.S. overall good.
